Armor of God

Put on the Whole Armor of God by Speaking it.

Ephesians 6:10-20 (NKJV)
"10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak."

Analysis

First notice that we as bretheren (Christians) are commanded to put on the Whole Armour of God (Bible Knowledge) so we will be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (thoughts). Our adversaries are Not people, they are evil spirits (demons). Principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age, and spiritial hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places are in the unseen spirit world. These are all created by Jesus the Son of God.
Colossians 1:13-19 (NKJV)
"13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence."

Ephesians 6:13 (NKJV) "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."
(We are commanded to stand in place.)
Ephesians 6:14 (AMP) "Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,"

Ephesians 6:15 (NKJV) "and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;"
"Roman soldiers wore shoes called Caligas, which were wrapped tightly around their ankles, and studded on the bottom with nails. This provided them with three things needed to win: (1) stability (2) balance and (3) forward momentum."
"But what does 'having my feet shod with the gospel of peace', mean to me?" you ask. Two things: (a) God's peace will keep you standing when others fall. It'll keep your priorities in place, as you move towards your God-given goals (b) You'll refuse to go anywhere, do anything, or think any thought, unless it maintains the peace of God in your life."
The above is quoted directly from a teaching by Pastor Tim Waugh.

Ephesians 6:16 (NKJV) "above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one."
(Faith can quench ALL the fiery darts fired from the enemy. In Bible days archers would light their arrows before firing them, then the arrows would ignite whatever they hit on impact. Soldiers would wrap their shields with leather that was soaked in water to quench the arrows on impact. (Quench the fiery darts of the enemy with your Faith.)
Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Mark 2: 2 - 5 (NKJV) "Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. 3 Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. 4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”"

Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
Ephesians 6:17 (NKJV) "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;" (The sword of the Spirit is an offensive weapon. We are told that it is the Word of God.) Hebrews 4:12(NKJV) "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV) "praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints" (The capital S in Spirit refers to the Holy Spirit. We are to pray in the Holy Spirit in tounges.) Acts 19:6 (NKJV) "And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied." (Pray in the Holy Spirit often. This is like a coded message that the enemy cannot decipher.)
1 Corinthians 14:2 (NKJV) "For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries." (The Holy Spirit knows exactly what you need. Let him use your mouth to pray directly to God. We are to pray for all the saints (believers.))

Ephesians 6:19-20 (NKJV) "19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak"
(Even while in prison, Paul prayed for the right words to reveal the truth of the gospel right where he was. Paul was in physical chains and was also operating within the confines of the Word.)
